A big hello to everyone.

In the news this month, Kid Babies has relocated to a new place in the desert. We are now located in Cathedral City, Ca. we will be able to hold sale events since it is a bigger location.

In the news, our Maxi dresses are literally flying off the table, as soon as I finish one and post to the Etsy store site (Kid Babies), it is gone. I am not complaining, I love it. The best thing is they are one of a kind and you will not see another person wearing the same dress.We recently sold three(3) to a young lady in Texas.

I am also in the process of setting up a new online store, Mama Closet, this store will sell one of a kind fashionable dresses for the woman who wants to look her best. I will make it my mission to keep everyone in mind when selecting the right fabrics and styles that will make you proud to wear fashion by Mama Closet.

In Nanny news, I am getting a lot of job offers in different areas but, the compensation it is sad to say is very low due to the recession.

I am still looking out for the right family. I do miss my Nanny work especially the children.

A big hello to everyone, we have started the month off with good news!

I am happy to announce my first three sales at myother little shop at "Etsy", it is "Kid Babies" as well. One of my purchases came from beautiful Australia. It was a learning experience in educating myself on how shipping internationally works. I was not happy about the high cost to my customers so, I will have to continue finding ways to ship economically but having my customers receive the merchandise in a timely and safe manner.

I want to assure everyone that you can purchase securely using Pay pal without worrying about compromising your card information. What I also love about the Pay pal site is the convenience of shipping so my customers merchandise is sent out as quickly as possible.

In the News:

The "Maxi" women's and girls dresses are selling in a steady stream.

I imagine as the weather becomes warmer I will see an increase in sales. I am advising everyone to order theirs before we run out. I am keeping the cost down and have compared the prices at the local stores so that my prices are under what they are pricing. My dresses are also cotton, durable and hold up on the wash cycle as well as the bodice(chest) area retaining it's shape.

In the Baby Patch News:

Coming soon, and almost ready to post new bright, colorful baby quilts, the quilt and diaper tote to match will be offered for one low price.

Our baby gift basket will carry all the clothing essentials necessary for baby's first days, this will include a rattan basket that can be incorporated into the baby nursery.

I can custom design these within 4 to 5 business days with your order specifications.

The Six pack baby onesie's(Cotton or Organic material) are still available in sizes preemie to 6 to 9 months.

We have a large selection in boy or girl designs, they can also be bought individually or our six pack bundle.

You may have noticed our Vista print site is under going some changes so please bear with us.

We want to be able to offer you merchandise for your baby, toddler as well as school age children.

We will also be bringing back our educational brochures ranging from Turning Negative Behavior into Positive, Potty Training with patience and love, Communicating with your teens, Temper tantrums, Safety Practices for Overnight visits, Play dates, and Outings, Finding the right childcare or Nanny,etc, we had a large demand for these at our Nanny Advice 4 You web site, please check back for these.

I want to send a big hello to everyone out there and a big thank you to all the well wishers for my speedy recovery. I have been away on a little medical R&R. I am finally getting around, feeling a little less pain and finally up to blogging. I apologize for the delay in updating everyone with little bits of parenting tips and Kid Babies news. This was due to the fact that my medical journey I was undertaking would be over whelming and painful as it has been at times. The worst is over and only the best is coming my way, I am a feisty survivor so I will prevail.

One bit of advice for everyone out there: make sure you stay informed in your medical history, keep records of procedures and please please make sure you request a copy of your medical records, by law it is your right to request this. Do not let anyone at a doctor's office tell you they can't give you a copy of your records. I hear this from a lot of people and I make sure they know it is their right. I always request a copy of records procedures etc for myself and if I am seeing someone new, I make sure they have a copy as well so they are familiar with my medical history.

On the agenda for Kid Babies, I had started working on Easter designs before my leave and had designed some cute characters for our Onesie, the Mommy T-Shirt for our mommy's to be and our Easter tote bags.

I am also now carrying the Maxi dresses long and short for Spring and Summer, these are available for Ladies and Girls. You can view these at our Etsy web site under "two flipflops". I will also be posting our beach flip flops on Etsy and the Vistaprint site by this weekend. The flip flops are available in adult and children sizes and will come in a variety of colors, decorations(bling bling) and very affordable.

The parenting tip for this week is potty training:

I recently overheard a family member who is dear to my heart and well loved with her granddaughter. The child had an accident in her pull-up, the first thing grandma did was get upset, the child in turn found a corner to hide, she was upset and crying.

I in turn told her (grandma) this was an inappropriate response.

I told her to calm down, it has already happened so there is no sense in getting upset as this tends to stress the child out or even frighten them. Once the situation was resolved and cleaned up, I told her to hug the child and kiss her, apologize to her for getting upset and reassure her that she knew she would try harder next time to make it to the potty.

So, parents getting upset over a potty accident does not solve anything, this tends to upset the child, put undue stress on both parties and sometimes the child will shut down and refuse to use the potty at all.

Make sure the child is taken to the potty as soon as they wake up in the morning, nap, after meals and during playtime. Children tend to get engrossed during playtime and forget, their little brains are still developing, it is up to us as adults to remind them..

At playtime, remind the child and ask if the child has to use the potty, if they say no all of the time, steer them gently to the potty, never use force.

Too many times I hear horrible stories where a parent has the child sit in a potty chair for up to three hours or a new parent who did not know when to start potty training and had their six month old on the potty chair. Of course, I view those types of techniques as inappropriate but, if you do not know it is best to ask for advice .

The most important thing to remember is parenting is a hard job, it never ends but the rewards are endless, when you are ready to undertake the potty training, do it with patience, loving and gentleness.

Make it a fun time event, I usually read a story right outside the bathroom , the child has their own book to look at,(the books usually relate to the little character learning to use the potty), singing songs, making sure the child is relaxed. I employ a potty chart, for every success the child gets to put a sticker on their chart, we also clap and cheer.

In the end, the child gets potty trained, mom and dad are happy.

Hello to everyone, sorry for not posting news the last few weeks but, I have been away. In the news this month, I have designed new items as you can see on our web site. The baby quilts are here along with our Rock and Roll Tote's. Our Valentine merchandise will be coming soon just in time for our Valentine celebration.

Our biggest items coming in the next few days are our new design logo for our onesie's and our Mommy T-Shirts. I really have not seen anything like it so, I hope all of my mom's will love the merchandise.

By the way, the Food Trucks(70) will be in Palm Springs tomorrow, the event starts at 11am, admission to the event is $10.00 and you will not be disappointed. You will be able to sample different delicious food that will leave you wanting more.

We will be there with our Kid Babies merchandise, just look for our Silver Suv with the Kid Babies magnets on the doors. I will be carrying some tote's, onesie's, etc., come by and say hello.

I will be trying something different with my blogs starting today. I will be posting a different advice tip that I hope is helpful to anyone raising children, new mom's and even nanny's.

I had the pleasure of observing the most beautiful child today, he looked to be about a year old, he was so independent as he wanted to eat by himself.

What I noticed was that poor mommy failed to cut his grilled sandwich into tiny pieces to where his little fingers could handle the food.

I wanted to intervene but it was not my place to tell her what to do as I do not believe in stepping on anyone's toes by criticizing.

I than decided to post it on my blog:

For the child who is ready for finger foods, make sure to cut the food into bite size pieces where the child can enjoy the food as well as the meal. A child who has trouble handling his/her food will only end up becoming frustrated and may not eat a full meal.Therefore, make sure to make the meal enjoyable for everyone involved.

As a mom sometimes we get busy or forget that little hands are not quite ready to grasp what an older child can handle.

A Happy New Year

Happy New Year

I hope everyone had a beautiful and safe holiday season. As we start a new year it is a time to reflect on the past year and set goals for the new year. Just a reminder not to set goals that will create stress if it is goals that are impossible.

I myself plan not to listen to negative gossip, people who can't move forward in their life but, yet are always judging what is going on in someone else's life. The best way to handle such behavior is to cut the conversation short or change the subject.

In the meantime, we have so many projects for the new year as well as completing our cute, adorable new "Poodle Tote's ", they will be posted to the site in the following days.

I also will be donating the Kid Babies Chatter Tote's to local programs such as the Nancy Sinatra Center as well as The Children's Hospital in Los Angeles and Loma Linda Childrens Hospital. I believe the totes will lift a child's spirit as they undertake the treatment to heal their little bodies.

Our baby merchandise such as the new one piece suits, quilts and burp cloths will be posting on a daily basis.

We will be having a showcase of Kid Babies merchandise on Etsy starting at midnight tonight.

Sale Update

Hello Everyone, our sale this weekend brought us people who browsed and visited and really enjoyed our products. I was able to give in the spirit of Christmas and people went away with a freebie or two. One good thing about all of this is there will be less plastic bags floating around out there and hurting our beautiful environment.

I would be so happy if we could all use a cloth bag to put our purchases and groceries instead of plastic bags. It is sad to see this type of bag (plastic) floating around on our streets and highways. I even had one of them attach itself under my vehicle on a trip to beautiful Malibu, it was so hot and gooey under the carriage I could not remove it, the odor was so horrible but, I was told to let it just burn off. I took this experience and turned it into creating tote's for everyday use.

In the meantime, you can still come by and browse and if you see anything you like, feel free to contact me.

This coming week we plan to make a huge donation to the Barbara Sinatra foundation in the form of our Kid babies Chatter Collection so that every child in our area has a school tote to enjoy. This is a big part of my giving back as a life changer and working with children.

Hello Palm Desert

Well the day was not as great as I expected, no sunshine, no customers, no crowd. I hope to have sunshine and people come in tomorrow as if we were selling popcorn.

Hello Everyone, as you guessed, our sale starts tomorrow, I am so excited and hope we have a lot of people come by to browse and buy our cute and adorable Kid Babies product. If you have any questions don't hesitate calling.

I am putting the last touches on the Christmas totes and t-shirts. I just finished the last of the t-shirts using the glitter product, the best thing about using the Darhma product is the glitter doesn't come off and get on your hands and everywhere else.

Hi everyone, I am feeling a little better today, whatever I picked up was not what I would wish on anyone but, I will survive. I will give everyone a piece of advice be careful in the next few months as the cold and flu season is here and it is very easy to pick up germs. Make sure to wipe those handles on the grocery baskets when you arrive at the market, I always wash my hands when I arrive at a restaurant, use a hand sanitizer after greeting someone (discreetly you don't want to hurt anyone's feelings), than a good hand wash once I get home.

If someone is coughing around you move as quickly as possible hopefully, you won't pick up what they have. I also tell my parents as their friend and nanny, keep the children home if they are running a fever, have a runny nose and coughing, it is not fair to their classmates and teacher to pick up their cold or flu.

On a lighter note, we are getting closer to our sale this weekend, I am slowly working every night on new merchandise(Christmas etc) and so excited to finally be able to show off my line of Kid Babies merchandise to everyone. I am looking forward to meeting new people and everyone who has viewed and browsed my old nanny advice 4 you(nanny boutique) and want to thank everyone. I have picked up my permit from the City of Palm Desert to hold our event. They call it a "garage sale" but, all of our Kid Babies merchandise is new, unique but affordable. You will find that I have taken the time to hand design and create every item and want to provide my customers the best.

In the news, I am looking for someone to assist me with some of the extra's so I can finish the parenting brochures and post to our new site in the coming months. I am also working on new baby dolls, the Kid Babies merchandise brochures, baby quilts and diaper tote's. I will try to have a couple of the baby quilts at our sale this weekend.

I hope to see everyone at our sale, remember if you can't attend, browse the web site as I will be posting merchandise we will have at our sale.

Kid Babies News

Hello Everyone,

I have not been able to post the last few days as I have been under the weather. I wish people especially, family would stay home if they have a cold or the flu.That goes for the phrase "cover your cough" I was around quite a few people that were sick and I knew I would eventually catch what they had. I went to a place of business and this poor woman kept coughing and did not cover her mouth, I did not want to be rude but, felt like saying please cover your mouth, yes this was an adult. I always emphasize to children to be polite and cover their cough but, how can we teach that when adults do not do so. Believe me, I have seen that quite a bit around town in stores I have visited.

I am trying to get better as we are still planning our Kid Babies Christmas sale the 17th and 18th of December.

I will keep everyone posted on details as we get closer to the date. In the meantime, we have some fabulous sales going on, all Christmas merchandise and regular items have been reduced. If you have anything in mind contact me, we do take special requests.

For now, I am still working on new designs and hope to post them on the web site during the week.
